Reducing environmental impact An automatic clutch, an electro-hydraulic clutch control and a whole new strategy for gear selection – these are the main ingredients in the new Scania Opticruise system which helps in reducing the environmental impact of the vehicle. Coaching the driver The Scania Driver Support system coaches drivers to make driving safer and more economical while reducing its environmental impact. The system, standard equipment in most Scania tractor units, assesses a driver’s skills in real time and gives detailed hints how they can be improved.
